The Poole Bridge to Hunger Hill Flood Defence team

The Poole Bridge to Hunger Hill Flood Defence team were delighted to celebrate the coast with 7 local schools for Outdoor Classroom Day 2025 – a global movement to inspire and celebrate outdoor play and learning.

Led by Dorset Coast Forum, the event hosted 166 enthusiastic pupils at Baiter Park, Poole for time out of the classroom packed with over 15 fun and educational STEAM activities focused on our coastline and its wildlife including;

What a great day of learning was had, working alongside BCP Council, Birds of BARI, Dorset Heaths Litter Free Dorset – Land, Coast & Sea Ocean Conservation Trust & National Trust Studland Bay

Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to make time outdoors part of every child’s day. On two days of action each year, teachers take children outdoors to play and learn.
