The Senior Engineer provides specialised services to the Council in delivering Flood & Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) projects, and from time-to-time may provide these services to other public sector authorities as the lead engineer.

This role will include; development of funding/business case(s) in collaboration with others, procurement of services and works, project cost and time management, project quality management and risk assessments, stakeholder engagement, licencing and consenting, resource requirement proposals, aligning projects to BCP Council sustainability targets and championing improvement as a trusted member of the team.

The role may involve coordinating a small project team on major projects, and providing leadership and mentoring to other service staff. The team is growing and we’re passionate about development of the Centre of Excellence, identifying opportunities and working with external authorities to aid in their service delivery.

We work flexibly giving control to the individual to work around life commitments, from home/remotely and attend the office or various touch down hubs in the conurbation.
