Approximately 1.16 million m³ (1.74 million tonnes) of sand dredged from Poole Harbour channels and approaches was used to replenish beaches at Swanage, Poole and Bournemouth

The following winter the project continued at Bournemouth beach, between Boscombe and Alum Chine, using a further 700,000 cu.m. of sand from a Licensed Dredging Area off the Isle of Wight.
